The Wabash Lights is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. This project was made possible by exclusively private fundraising and hundreds upon hundreds of hours of volunteer time and brainwaves. No tax dollars went to this installation.
Its mission is to create Chicago’s first public interactive arts platform by affixing long bands of programmable LED lights to the underside of the elevated train tracks on Wabash Avenue.
